Some butch women do technically cross dress by wearing clothing from the men's section however that's often not the case since women's clothing is much more varied than men's and includes button up shirts, baggy jeans etc. I would say that anyone who puts on a "feminine " appearance is to some degree doing a sort of drag, most of what makes butch women and certain types of androgynous women stand out is how they *don't* disguise their appearance

Not really. There are some butch women who probably consider themselves cross-dressers, but most are just butch women, who are wearing female clothing- albeit masculine female clothing.
