Question: Why have the vast majority of cross-dressers ruined our reputation? (Posted by: keith.kipling on 2012-01-19 19:20:21) Let me explain first before you delete this... I'm a cross- dresser, I love the look and feel of georgious ladies clothing, and although that may be weird to you, for the most part i'll keep it to my self and if im out in public the most i'll do is check out some clothing on my ipad. then you get allot of guys who dressup and get some sort of sexual thing out of it, and whats worse is they will do it in public. Im sorry this may sound mean but you should keep it to yourself. If I ever tell anyone I like to cross- dress most peoples first reaction is "youre a pervert " and IM NOT! I DO NOT GET ANY SEXUAL ATTRACTION FROM IT. i guess for me its the same reason women like them |

A counter arguement is "Why should I hide who I am? " I agree if the cross dresser looks like a slut (To which applies to every person, girl or boy). But thats just your opinion, and most people are only going to look at the outfit, have a few negative thoughts of it, share it with friends, and then be over it. It doesn't really do any one harm. And how do you know they get something sexual out of it? their purpose for cross dressing could be entirely different then yo assume. It's all part of culture. You gotta suck it up and deal with it. |

In other words, whatever reputation you think cross-dressers have, is wrong. Fetishistic cross-dressing tends to be the rule, not the exception, so essentially, it is you who are ruining it for them. If you enjoy the look and feel of clothes made for women, by all means wear them. Personally, I find a lot of women's clothing to be flimsy, thin, inconsistent and way overpriced. It's a classic case of function following form, which is why many of the clothes made for women are impractical, painful, and even dangerous. I do enjoy the feeling of nice fabric against my skin, and the variety of colors and styles makes putting together outfits more enjoyable, but at the end of the day, they are still just clothes. More often than not, I reach for comfortable jeans and a basic top. If you were to wear women's clothes every day, the novelty would eventually fade. |
