A question to mothers and fathers about crossdressing?

Question: A question to mothers and fathers about crossdressing?

(Posted by: justsignmehere on 2010-02-06 03:45:26)

Lemme just say I am a straight male, I had come out to my mother the other day as a crossdresser except I messed up telling her now she thinks that I just want to wear girl's clothes instead, also she is trying to ignore it and pretend it never happened. How can I get her to understand? Also I have yet to tell my father, imagine a stereotypical Texan, that's how he is. How and what should I do to tell him because he is extremely judgemental. Finally I really want to buy one of those traditional Chinese dresses, how can I get them to let me buy it, because I really want one of those. Also any extra information you need I will tell you, not any personal information but our relationship etc. Also my relationship with my mother is really good, she isn't going to tell anyone I crossdress, but my father I'm worried because he talks... alot.

Your mother is being very respectful of you. I suggest you speak to her some more and maybe give her some books read. There are some excellent books that have been written by wives of cross dressers that would explain heterosexual cross dressing to your mother. You can do chores and earn the money for the Chinese dress you want. Then ask your mother to order it for you using your own money that you earned. That way she will know tha you are serious about cross dressing.

Hello. First there is no stereotypical Texan as Texas is so large different areas are so different. What is typical here in Houston is not in other areas... I am guessing you are meaning a good ol boy, red neck LOL. If that is the case it could be very hard. So you would need to get your mom totaly on board and understanding who you are befor you come out to him. So she will have your back if his reaction is bad. The only way to get her to understand it to talk. If not to you then to someone. Be careful in who she does talk to or what she does look up on the web. Some people out there would think it is fun to mess with you and her. On the web she will find mostly porn and that will just upset her more. So you will need to find the good sorces for her that describe how you personally feel. I would also be willing to talk to her if you wish. As was said by the other answer there are books out there. One is by Peggy Rudd called My Husband wears my Clothes. It is an older book but that may appeal to your mom. The Rudds are very nice people and very well know in the CD community. Yes I know them and have met a number of the people talked about in her book, they do live in the Houston area. Clothing is clothing but how it can make you feel is what matters. There is nothing wrong with dressing up how you feel, just socity frowns on it as a whole. Yes women can cross dress and it is cute. They can wear a pair of pants or jeans with no problem. If they put on a guys shirt is it just being a tomboy. If they put on a suit they are just being more aggrisive is all. But the opposite is seen as wrong. There is nothing wrong with wanting to look or feel pretty. Just point out nature, the birds are the easiest to show. The male has all the color and is the more pretty, the female is often more dull. Also being soft and fem does not make you weak, it does the opposite to be honest. You are willing to fight to dress how you want. That takes guts to be honest. I had a guy that told me how weak it made me. I agreed to go hunting with him for the weekend if he would go out with me for one night. I would help him dress and make sure he looked good and we would just go to wal mart and places like that. After he thought about it he changed his mind about me being weak LOL. I also agree with your other poster, you want something special and extra then earn the money. I never mind my kids haveing extras they want but I dont always have the extra cash to buy it. Also at this point your mom may think it is just a phase and you will out grow it so she will just let it pass and not want to spend the extra on it. Some of what I said may not mean much to you now but in time and when you do talk to your dad it may at that point. Just think about what I said and as you move forward you may want to read it again. I am not after points, so dont worry about giving them to me. I just hope to make someones life easier. I hope the info does help. I am serious about your mom talking to me if she wishes. You may want to hit my profile then from it hit my website and glance it over. Hugs Kim Lynn
