I was thinking about starting to do makeup on drag queens just because I'm tired of the wedding scene and I love their night life, but I wonder if most drag queens do their own makeup/ would there be any work for me?? I think I previously posed this question in the wrong category! I'll probably get more responses here :) craiglist doesn't work for general questions, I either get spam or perverted emails

You're in NYC. Start frequenting the clubs. Put your name out there. Put an ad in some of the papers. I think most queens do their own make-up, but you might find some who actually make enough money and prefer to have their make-up done by someone else. You also might want to try the theatre scene, or the opera, or ballet or even the modelling scene. Try talking to photographers. They might have contacts for you.
