Don't transexuals first start off dressing up as women too?

A drag queen is a male who dresses in an exaggerated feminine manner for the purpose of doing entertainment. They can be straight or gay. Sexual orientation is not a part of drag. A Drag King is a woman who dresses as a man for the same overall purpose. A transsexual is a person who has the natural born gender identity of the opposite of their legal birth sex. They think, feel, and process as the target sex in transition. This includes transsexual men as well as women. Essentially there is no similarity between the two at all. There are some transwomen as well as transmen who have done or do drag. Often it is done for the purpose of financially supporting the high cost of gender transition. I know of two transwomen who did this in Indianapolis. In.. Sharon Jeune: Get it straight you are very intolerant by referring to anyone as a tranny. That is a car part not a person.,Duh!!! Dressing up as women? There are transsexual women who dress correctly as women and there are transsexual men who dress correctly as men. There is no correlation with what a drag queen does whatsoever.

A drag queen is dressed as the oppisite gender whilst transexuals are the oppisite gender to what they were born simplez (also drag queen probably only refers to guys)

Transsexuals are people who have the mind and spirit of the opposite gender they are born in, and frequently, they actually live their life as their true gender. Drag queens are people who dress up as the opposite gender and can really get into the role, they behave as the opposite gender, but they have no full desire to be that gender physically.

A drag queen is a man who dresses as a woman (and is usually gay) where as a transsexual (now known as trans-gender I believe) is someone who is the opposite gender to which they were born.

To themselves, there are a great many differences of considerable variety and subtlety; to others, there are no differences which do not involve having to ask the drag queen or tranny before you directly, who, which, or what "she " ( "Any man in a dress is a 'she' "--Miss Manners) is, or feels she is. This, from my point of view, puts an intolerable burden on others, of having to figure out, recognize, and observe niceties of protocol appropriate to, whatever identity and character is supposedly being "presented " (the word is used, with no sense of irony) by the man-in-a-dress in front of you; or, alternatively--and which is even more intolerable--of being forced to submit to the rules of protocol and address which "she " will be only too happy to dictate to you. Being myself of an instinctually polite, though independent, nature, I obviate the intolerable choice between hateful alternatives, by stone-facedly ignoring anyone who looks like he might be a drag queen or a transsexual--pretending neither to see nor hear "her "--and by moving away, and keeping away, from "her, " and by scrupulously avoiding any and all places where I might perchance encounter such a creature.
