Does anyone else get freaked out by drag queens?

Question: Does anyone else get freaked out by drag queens?

They look scary. I haven't met one in real life but on tv and in films they look like ugly women Or Coco the clown

There is a drag club not far from my apartment. I am used to seeing them. Some look so female that you have to take a second look. The height usually gives it away. Some look way too masculine but you know. Many are straight and perform at the club. Just cross dressing. I went once with friends to the show. They were really talented. We had fun, but I certainly wasn't attracted to any of them.

They kind of freak me out too, but we've got to respect them nonetheless.

You seem to have got it in one. Mind you there is always the exception to the rule.

I know some very beautiful queens! There are scary queens, just like there are scary gay guys, straight guys, lesbians, straight girls, bi guys, bi girls, etc. Drag queens can be very sweet, beautiful people, and I love hanging out with the ones I know! = D Remember, the depictions on TV and movies aren't always accurate! Think about how often you've seen a realistic gay guy in the movies.

Only the overly costumey kind that use bleach white cake make-up with 4 inch eye-lashes and all that glitter on their face. It looks kind of clownish and I don't like clowns or harlequins. The female impersonators are OK: like Ongina or Candis Cayne or Rupaul and such

I've met one in real life and its kinda gross. Personally, I feel that if you're a cross dresser or transsexual you ought to tell the person you're involved with, and let them consider for themselves whether or not they wanna be involved with all that.

Why? saying is that is like saying you're scare of women who wear a lot of make up n some do...it's just make up

What you have to remember about Drag Queens is that they are PERFORMERS. Their act is intended to be a parody; their presentation is a caricature of womanhood. They're not really trying to look like actual women. So, just like clowns, sometimes their appearance is as much disturbing as it is entertaining.

Depends on the drag queen. Rupaul doesn't freak me out. OTOH, an hideous drag queen should wear a burqa. youtube.com/ watch?v= JKW_-EqbkpE sHE? Metamorphosis-- Drag Queen It's a true art form and should be acknowledged as such. In Shakespeare's time and in Traditional Japanese theatre, women weren't allowed on the stage. Men played female roles. They were highly respected actors. Seriously, as long as they dont look like the blokes in this vid, they're ok in me book: youtube.com/ watch?v= ykah3sqzvlo CAN'T SLEEP CLOWNS WILL EAT ME

Honey there are a lot of people that look scary. take you for example. I mean I got freaked out more seeing your photo then I did when I was watching last nights "RuPauls Drag Race " episode & you don't see me posting a Yahoo! Answers question about it. Although I just might.

I don't get freaked out by them at all. I can't understand why anyone would be.

I hate them, they're disgusting. They should not be allowed out in public but restricted to sleazy gay bars.
